This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
